BIÑAN RURAL BANK, INC. (BRBI) was founded in 1955 by Filomeno Ocampo Gana, to help provide for the financing needs of farmers from the Southern Tagalog region. It was one of the first three banks to be established in Biñan. Through the efforts of its directors, officers, and employees, it quickly grew to become on one of the biggest rural banks in the Philippines in the latter half of the 20 century. Today, BRBI has consolidated to six branches in Laguna and Cavite. It receives deposits from a broader community and grants loans to borrowers for use as capital in growing businesses. Payment services through Bayad Center are now also offered at select branches.
